Our travel industry is undergoing a major shift toward greater equity and sustainability, we indent to be at the forefront of this movement from our inception.
Given the challenges within our destinations we decided to dedicate our selves in positively changing the lives and livelihoods of the communities we promote. From employing disabled and disenfranchised staff to developing grass root level experience within our destination to elevate their income - we hope to a make a meaningful change within the community.
The riches brought on by the travel trade need to be equally shared amongst all stake holders - even if we cannot make this happen single handedly, we hope to make the difference one family at a time.
Few example of our initiatives are given below;.

Our team works with locals in the communities our guests travel to and curate amazing experience with them.
Here Lakshman, the only breadwinner in his family of six – a farm laborer by trade engaging in a culinary experience. With the supplementary income he earns through this – all his children are in school now. He is one of many men and women who are champions of our experiences.
Meet, Udaya a local unemployed graduate from the cultural triangle area of Sri Lanka. A son of a poor family studied under a thatched roof with a light from a lamp. A smart lad - graduated with honors, but failed to find a meaningful job. Family in deep debt for his education – we got him trained as an expert guide for the cultural triangle area. Now he is building his own brick house. He is a special guide, loved by all.
The distances need to be travelled for quality education has been the issue within the central highlands of Sri Lanka. So, we incorporated experiences where families spend a day with their kids playing with the local kids in their schools. An experience unlike no other, the money is 100% paid towards the school development and the interaction does wonders to the local kids self-esteem.
All our destination has a big parity of women in the work place. Although most are qualified and able to contribute towards their own families, various reasons tend to keep them at home. We gave them flexible home working hours and the option to work from home or bring their kids to work. A solution which seems to work for both, especially in the Maldives.
We are proud to be able to help to provide with valuable training and incorporate, 12 differently abled staff within our partner suppliers. A proudest achievement is bringing Shiraj a partially blind travel assistant – within our airport arrival department in the Maldives. We have also been able to work with rehab clinics to provide employment opportunities and a second chance in life for 18 individuals through our partners.
We are committed to ensure that no journey curated by us, come in any way to negatively impact our environment. From banning all tours which cause harm to animals to reducing our foot print in terms of plastics, polythene and paper to investing along with our partners in environmentally friendly vehicles during our tours – we strive to be at the forefront in safeguarding our nature.
